Amlodipine, Celecoxib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Fennel interacts with.

Theoretically, fennel might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.

In vitro research suggests that fennel inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme activity. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Consensi combines amlodipine (a blood pressure medicine) with celecoxib (an anti-inflammatory). Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down the amlodipine part. In test-tube studies, fennel appears to slow that enzyme down a bit. If that were to happen in your body, amlodipine could build up slightly, which might mean more dizziness, flushing, ankle swelling, or a lower blood pressure than expected.

Here is the reassuring part: this has only been seen in lab studies, never proven in real people. Fennel as a food or spice is very unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated capsules or fennel essential oil are a different story, so it is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist before using those regularly.
