Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Fo-ti interacts with.
Animal research suggests that fo-ti might inhibit CYP2D6. Additionally, an in vitro study suggests that the degree of CYP2D6 inhibition may depend on the type of fo-ti extract (i.e., the raw plant leads to greater inhibition than extensively processed extracts). However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combo product pairs aspirin and caffeine with hydrocodone, the part that matters here. Hydrocodone is partly turned into its stronger pain-relieving form by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Lab and animal studies hint that Fo-ti (especially the raw root) might slow that enzyme down. If that happened in people, it could shift how much active painkiller you make, possibly changing how well it works or how much drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or nausea you feel.
I want to be honest though: this is theoretical, based on test-tube and animal data, and it has never actually been reported in humans. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, because hydrocodone is an opioid, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Fo-ti.

In vitro research suggests that fo-ti might inhibit CYP1A2. Additionally, in vitro research suggests that the degree of CYP1A2 inhibition depends on the type of fo-ti extract (i.e., the raw plant leads to greater inhibition than extensively processed extracts). However, in an animal study, an aqueous extract of fo-ti inhibited CYP1A2 while an alcoholic extract of fo-ti induced CYP1A2. Induction or inhibition of CYP1A2 by fo-ti has not been reported in humans.

In this combination product (Damason-P), the piece that interacts with Fo-ti is the caffeine, which your liver clears using an enzyme called CYP1A2. Lab and animal studies hint that Fo-ti could either slow down or speed up that enzyme, depending on the type of extract. If it slows it, caffeine may linger longer, so you might feel more jittery, have a racing heart, or trouble sleeping. If it speeds it up, the caffeine wears off faster.
Honestly, this is mostly theoretical, seen only in test tubes and animals, never confirmed in people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The aspirin and hydrocodone parts aren't really affected here. Still, since Fo-ti itself has been tied to liver injury, it's worth running this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

One in vitro study suggests that the degree of CYP3A4 inhibition may depend on the type of fo-ti extract (i.e., the raw plant leads to greater inhibition than extensively processed extracts). However, this evidence conflicts with animal research suggesting that fo-ti does not inhibit CYP3A4. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

This combo product (brand Damason-P) pairs aspirin and caffeine with hydrocodone, an opioid pain reliever. Of these, hydrocodone is the piece that leans on the liver enzyme CYP3A4. If that happened, hydrocodone could build up and its effects might feel stronger, meaning more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, nausea, or slowed breathing.

ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS

The piece of this combo pill that matters here is the aspirin, which is a blood thinner (it keeps platelets from sticking together). Fo-ti has been tied to rare reports of liver injury, and your liver is what makes many of your clotting proteins. If Fo-ti stresses the liver, your blood can become slower to clot, and stacking that on top of aspirin's own thinning effect may nudge up your bleeding risk. That could show up as easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach upset and dark stools.
To be fair, this is based mostly on a single case report and theory, not strong studies, so it's a caution, not a certainty. Still, please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you take Fo-ti daily.
