Here's the simple version: Tresiba (insulin degludec) already lowers your blood sugar, and Fo-ti has been reported to nudge blood sugar down too. Put them together and you could, in theory, drop a little lower than you expect. That might show up as the usual low blood sugar signs, things like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, or feeling confused or unusually hungry.

I want to be honest about how strong this is: it's based on pharmacology and reports, not solid human studies, so it's a maybe, not a sure thing. Still, since insulin is potent, it's worth watching. Please don't change your insulin dose on your own. If you want to try Fo-ti, check your sugars a bit more closely at first and run it past your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Insulin Degludec (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?

Brand name: Tresiba

Insulin degludec (brands: Insulin Degludec, Tresiba) is indicated to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in patients 1 year of age and older with diabetes mellitus — both type 1 and type 2.

It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis (a dangerous complication where acids build up in the blood). In patients with type 1 diabetes, it must be used together with a short-acting insulin.
