Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Codeine Phosphate, Magnesium Hydroxide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Fucus Vesiculosus interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of Fucus vesiculosus with CYP2D6 substrates might alter the effects of these substrates.
In vitro research shows that fucoidan, a constituent of Fucus vesiculosus, both inhibits and induces CYP2D6. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the piece worth knowing about this combination product: the codeine part of it is a prodrug. Your body has to use an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn codeine into morphine, which is what actually relieves pain. Lab studies (not real people) suggest a compound in bladderwrack called fucoidan can both block and speed up that same enzyme, so the effect could theoretically go either way.

If the enzyme slows down, codeine may give less pain relief. If it speeds up, you could get more morphine and more side effects like drowsiness, constipation, or nausea. Honestly, this is only test-tube evidence and hasn't been seen in humans, so I wouldn't panic. Still, it's smart to mention any bladderwrack use to your pharmacist or doctor.

Theoretically, taking Fucus vesiculosus with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
In vitro evidence suggests that a constituent of Fucus vesiculosus, known as fucoidan, has anticoagulant effects. However, in clinical research, fucoidan does not seem to have significant anticoagulant activity when taken orally, possibly due to poor absorption.

Here's the simple version. Your combo product contains aspirin, which already thins the blood a little by keeping platelets from clumping. Bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus) contains a compound called fucoidan that, in a test tube, showed some blood-thinning activity. The worry is that stacking the two could, in theory, nudge up your odds of bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach bleeding, which aspirin can already cause.

The good news: this is mostly a lab finding. In people, fucoidan taken by mouth doesn't seem to be absorbed well, so it likely has little real effect on bleeding. I'd call this a low concern. Still, the iodine in bladderwrack is a separate issue worth raising with your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you have any thyroid trouble.
