GBL is metabolized to gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB). Concomitant use of CNS depressants with GHB may cause serious CNS and respiratory depression.

First things first: GBL is not a real supplement. It's a toxic solvent that your body turns into GHB, a heavy-duty sedative, and it's illegal to sell or take for human use. Please don't go near it. If you're struggling with sleep, anxiety, or substance use, reach out to a doctor or pharmacist who can help safely.

Now, why this combo worries me: your Mersyndol already has two ingredients that slow the brain down. Codeine is an opioid that can suppress breathing, and doxylamine is a sedating antihistamine that adds drowsiness. Stack GBL/GHB on top and you can pile on dangerous sedation, slowed or stopped breathing, deep unconsciousness, and death. The formal evidence here is anecdotal, but the danger is very real. Don't combine them.

Theoretically, concomitant use of GBL with narcotic drugs may potentiate respiratory and central nervous system (CNS) depression.
GBL is metabolized to gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB). Concomitant use of narcotic drugs with GHB may cause serious CNS and respiratory depression. In one case report, concurrent use of GHB and heroin was fatal.

First things first: GBL is not a supplement, it's a toxic solvent your body turns into GHB, a heavy sedative that is illegal for human use. It's dangerous on its own. Combining it with Mersyndol makes things worse, because this product is a triple sedative load. The codeine is a narcotic, and the doxylamine is a sedating antihistamine, both of which slow your breathing and your brain.

Stacking two nervous-system depressants on top of each other can push you into dangerous drowsiness, very slow or shallow breathing, deep unconsciousness, and in the worst cases, death. The evidence here is mostly anecdotal (including a fatal case with GHB and another opioid), but the risk is real and the right move is simple: do not use GBL, and please talk with a doctor or pharmacist if you need help.
