Here's the big concern with combining GHB and a product like Mersyndol. Two of its ingredients pile onto the same problem: codeine (an opioid) and doxylamine (a sedating antihistamine) both slow down the brain and breathing. GHB does exactly the same thing, only much more powerfully. Stack them together and the calming effects can add up fast.

What that can look like in real life: heavy drowsiness, confusion, very slow or shallow breathing, and in a worst case, slipping into unconsciousness that's hard to wake from. The evidence here is anecdotal, but the danger is real and serious. Non-prescription GHB isn't safe to use at all. Please don't combine these without talking to your pharmacist or doctor first.

What is Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (ghb)?

GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) is a powerful central nervous system depressant that is NOT a safe dietary supplement. In the U.S. it is a controlled substance, and only a tightly regulated prescription form (sodium oxybate) is legal for narcolepsy. Non-prescription GHB can cause coma, breathing failure, and death, and it is also a known 'date-rape' drug — it should not be taken outside of medical supervision.
