Here's the simple version: both of these calm down the nervous system, and stacking them piles that effect on top of each other. Acepromazine is a phenothiazine tranquilizer (you may know it as a sedative used in veterinary medicine). It already causes drowsiness, low blood pressure, and slowed reflexes. GHB is a strong nervous system depressant on its own.

Put them together and you can get dangerously deep sedation, very low blood pressure, slowed breathing, and in a worst case, unresponsiveness or breathing failure. The evidence here is mostly anecdotal, but the risk is taken seriously because both drugs hit the brain so hard. GHB outside of strict medical supervision is never safe. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining anything like this.

What is Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (ghb)?

GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) is a powerful central nervous system depressant that is NOT a safe dietary supplement. In the U.S. it is a controlled substance, and only a tightly regulated prescription form (sodium oxybate) is legal for narcolepsy. Non-prescription GHB can cause coma, breathing failure, and death, and it is also a known 'date-rape' drug — it should not be taken outside of medical supervision.
