Greater Celandine + Atropine, morphine sulfate
Atropine, morphine sulfate brand name: Atropine, Morphine Sulfate.
Greater Celandine has a moderate interaction with Atropine, morphine sulfate. Research in vitro shows that chelidonine, a constituent of greater celandine, inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) enzyme activity.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Atropine, morphine sulfate
Atropine, morphine sulfate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Greater Celandine interacts with.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and many others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the honest picture. The concern on file is that greater celandine may slow down a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. In a test-tube study, one of its compounds (chelidonine) blocked that enzyme, so in theory drugs cleared by CYP2D6 could build up a bit. For your medication, morphine isn't really a big CYP2D6 drug, and atropine isn't either, so this particular pathway probably matters less for you than it would for something like codeine or tramadol.
The bigger issue is the herb itself. Greater celandine has been tied to serious liver injury, which is why most experts say to avoid taking it by mouth. The drug interaction here is only theoretical (lab data, not people). Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything, and don't change your morphine on your own.
