Ibuprofen, Oxycodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Greater Celandine interacts with.

Research in vitro shows that chelidonine, a constituent of greater celandine, inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) enzyme activity. Theoretically, greater celandine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and many others.

This combo pill pairs ibuprofen (an anti-inflammatory) with oxycodone (an opioid painkiller). The piece that matters here is the oxycodone. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn part of the oxycodone into a stronger active form. Greater celandine, in lab studies only, appears to slow that same enzyme down.

In theory, if CYP2D6 is partly blocked, oxycodone could behave unpredictably, possibly leaving more parent drug around or shifting how much of the active form is made. That could mean stronger drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing, or in some people simply less pain relief. Keep in mind this is only test-tube evidence, not proven in people. Given greater celandine's known liver risks too, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
