Muraglitazar is an experimental diabetes medication (a dual PPAR agonist) that works to lower blood sugar. Here's the simple takeaway: inositol can also nudge blood sugar downward, partly because it helps your cells respond to insulin. So when you stack the two together, their effects can add up.

The practical worry is low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). That can show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling unusually hungry. The research showing inositol lowers blood sugar and HbA1c is solid, though combining it specifically with this drug is more of a theoretical add-up. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your glucose readings if you do use both.
