Here's the simple version: both Trulicity (dulaglutide) and inositol work to lower your blood sugar, just through different routes. Trulicity mimics a gut hormone (GLP-1) that helps your body release insulin and curbs appetite, while inositol seems to make your cells respond a bit better to insulin. Stack them together and the combined sugar-lowering effect can add up, which raises your chance of going too low.

This isn't a chemical clash, and the research showing inositol lowers blood sugar and HbA1c is solid, so it's worth paying attention to. Watch for low-sugar signs like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy. Don't change either one on your own. Just check in with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your glucose readings.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
