Here's the thing to know about pairing Jimson Weed with clomipramine. Clomipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant, and these drugs already carry their own anticholinergic load. That's why people on it often notice a dry mouth, blurry vision, constipation, trouble urinating, or a faster heartbeat. Jimson Weed contains atropine and scopolamine, which block the very same acetylcholine system. So stacking the two would likely pile those effects on top of each other and make them stronger.

This warning is based on how the chemicals work rather than on formal studies, so it's theoretical. But honestly, Jimson Weed is genuinely poisonous and isn't safe to use at all. Please don't combine them, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor with any questions.

Clomipramine — sold as Anafranil and under the generic name Clomipramine Hydrochloride — is approved to treat obsessions and compulsions in people with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This includes adults and children/adolescents ages 10 to 17.

To qualify for treatment, the obsessions or compulsions must cause significant distress, take up a lot of time, or noticeably interfere with work, school, or social life.
