Here's the thing about karaya gum and your Becotide. This is a fiber-type laxative that swells into a thick gel in your gut, and that gel can sometimes grab onto an oral medication and change how much your body absorbs. The result could be a little less, a little more, or no change at all. Honestly, this concern applies mainly to medicines you swallow.

Most people use beclometasone as an inhaler for asthma or as a nasal spray, and those go straight into your airways or nose, so a gut laxative wouldn't really touch them. If you're taking an oral beclometasone form for bowel inflammation, simply space them out: take your medicine first, then the karaya gum about 30 to 60 minutes later. This interaction is only theoretical and minor, but checking with your pharmacist is a smart move.

As a fiber-type laxative it may help with occasional constipation, but high-quality evidence is limited, and it should be taken with plenty of water to avoid choking or blockage.
