Lingonberry + Dapsone
Dapsone brand names: Dapsone, Avlosulfon, Aczone.
We found no known interaction between Lingonberry and Dapsone in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Lingonberry and Dapsone
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Dapsone and Lingonberry in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Lingonberry at all — not against Dapsone, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dapsone page
“Dapsone treats serious conditions, from dermatitis herpetiformis to leprosy, and its supplement list is one I'd want a patient to read closely rather than skim. Most entries touch how the body handles dapsone through the CYP3A4 enzyme, so grapefruit can raise its blood level while St.”

About Lingonberry
What is Lingonberry?
- Urinary tract health
- Antioxidant support
- Heart and metabolic health
- Inflammation
Lingonberry is a tart red berry rich in antioxidants such as anthocyanins and the compound arbutin, and it is popular as a food and folk remedy for urinary tract and general wellness. Human evidence for specific health benefits is still limited, so it is best enjoyed as part of a healthy diet rather than relied on to treat any condition. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated extracts, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a medical condition.
Vaccinium vitis-idaea · Ericaceae · Berries and leaves · Juice, dried berries, jam, capsules, extracts, tea (from leaves)
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Lingonberry is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Lingonberry record says about it on its own.
Lingonberry: dosing
There is no official or standardized dose for lingonberry supplements. The amount of active compounds can vary widely between products such as juices, dried berries, capsules, and extracts. If you choose to use a lingonberry product, follow the directions on the product label and do not exceed the recommended amount. Eating the berries as food is a simple and generally safe way to enjoy them.

Dapsone Is Linked to Lower Levels of 7 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Dapsone as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Lingonberry — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
