Magnolia + Nalbuphine
Nalbuphine brand name: Nubain.
Magnolia has a moderate interaction with Nalbuphine. Theoretically, concomitant use of large doses of magnolia bark and CNS depressants might have additive effects.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Nalbuphine
Nalbuphine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Magnolia interacts with.
In vitro and animal research shows that constituents extracted from magnolia bark, especially honokiol and magnolol, have sedative effects. These effects may be due to the inhibition of catecholamine release and modulation of gamma-aminobutyric acid-A (GABA-A) receptors.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: nalbuphine (Nubain) is a strong pain medicine that already calms down your nervous system, which is why it can make you drowsy, slow your breathing, lower your blood pressure, and leave you feeling lightheaded or fuzzy. Magnolia bark, thanks to compounds called honokiol and magnolol, may have its own calming, sedating effect. Stack the two together and those effects could pile up.
I want to be honest about the evidence here, though. This concern comes mostly from lab and animal studies, and it really applies to concentrated magnolia supplements in larger doses, not a small culinary amount. Nalbuphine is given by injection, usually in a medical setting, so please mention any magnolia you take to the team caring for you. Don't change anything on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Nalbuphine page
“Nalbuphine (Nubain) is an opioid pain reliever, which by itself raises the stakes of this page. Nearly four in five of the ingredients listed deepen sedation, layering their own drowsiness onto a medicine that already slows the brain and can slow breathing.”
