Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's what's going on with this combination. Your Vicoprofen contains ibuprofen, an NSAID that can already make it a little harder for your blood to clot. Maritime pine bark may also gently slow down how your platelets stick together. Put the two together and, in theory, you could see a slightly higher chance of bleeding or bruising.

In real life, this is mostly a theoretical concern based on how these things work, not strong human studies, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, stomach upset, or dark stools, which can signal stomach bleeding from the ibuprofen. If you take Vicoprofen regularly or are also on a blood thinner, please run this past your pharmacist or doctor first.
