Edrophonium, Atropine falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Marjoram interacts with.

In vitro research suggests that marjoram extract can inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity. Theoretically, using marjoram in medicinal amounts along with anticholinergic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of marjoram or the anticholinergic agent.
Some anticholinergic drugs include atropine, benztropine (Cogentin), biperiden (Akineton), procyclidine (Kemadrin), and trihexyphenidyl (Artane).

Enlon-Plus combines two medicines that work in opposite ways on the same chemical, acetylcholine. The atropine part is an anticholinergic, meaning it blocks acetylcholine to do things like steady the heart rate and dry up secretions during procedures. Here is the wrinkle: lab studies hint that marjoram may block the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, which leaves more of it around. In theory, that extra acetylcholine could push against atropine's blocking action and make it work a little less well.

Keep this in perspective. This is theoretical, based only on test-tube research, and Enlon-Plus is given in a controlled clinical setting where doctors adjust dosing in real time. Marjoram in normal cooking amounts is very unlikely to matter. Still, mention any concentrated marjoram supplements to your care team beforehand.

In vitro research suggests that marjoram extract can inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity. Theoretically, using marjoram in medicinal amounts along with cholinergic drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of cholinergic side effects.
Cholinergic drugs include bethanechol (Urecholine), donepezil (Aricept), echothiophate (Phospholine Iodide), edrophonium (Enlon, Reversol, Tensilon), neostigmine (Prostigmin), physostigmine (Antilirium), pyridostigmine (Mestinon, Regonol), succinylcholine (Anectine, Quelicin), and tacrine (Cognex).

Here's the gist for Enlon-Plus, which combines edrophonium (a drug that boosts acetylcholine by blocking the enzyme acetylcholinesterase) with atropine (added to soften the cholinergic load). Lab studies hint that marjoram may also block that same enzyme. In theory, stacking a concentrated marjoram supplement on top could nudge acetylcholine higher and add to cholinergic effects, things like watery eyes, drooling, sweating, a slow heartbeat, cramping, or diarrhea.

That said, this is based only on test-tube data, and edrophonium is given by a clinician in a controlled setting, usually as a one-time diagnostic dose. Cooking with marjoram is very unlikely to matter. If you take strong marjoram supplements, just mention it to your care team beforehand.
