N-methyltyramine + Pravastatin Sodium
Pravastatin Sodium brand name: Pravachol.
We found no known interaction between N-methyltyramine and Pravastatin Sodium in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
N-methyltyramine and Pravastatin Sodium
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Pravastatin Sodium and N-methyltyramine in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Pravastatin Sodium
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Pravastatin Sodium is filed under 6 classifications — including hmg-coa reductase inhibitors ("statins"), organic anion-transporting polypeptide substrates (oatp), organic anion transporter 1 (oat1) substrates. N-methyltyramine has documented interactions with 2 drug classes — the most serious being antihypertensive drugs (minor) and stimulant drugs (minor) — and none of Pravastatin Sodium’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.
N-methyltyramine Does Interact With Other Medications
N-methyltyramine has 344 minor known drug interactions in our database — Pravastatin Sodium isn’t one of them. If you take anything else, check it against the full list below.

About N-methyltyramine
What is N-methyltyramine?
- Weight loss and fat burning
- Energy and pre-workout supplements
- Sports performance
- Appetite control
N-methyltyramine is a natural compound related to tyramine that is found in bitter orange, barley, and other plants, and it is often added to weight-loss and pre-workout supplements. Solid human research on its safety and effectiveness is very limited, and because it may stimulate the body like other amines, people with heart problems or high blood pressure should be especially careful. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using any product that contains it.
Found naturally in citrus fruits (especially bitter orange), barley, and certain plants; also produced synthetically · Capsules, tablets, and powders (usually as part of pre-workout, fat-burner, or weight-loss blends)
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether N-methyltyramine is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our N-methyltyramine record says about it on its own.
N-methyltyramine: dosing
There is no established or standardized dose for N-methyltyramine. It has not been studied enough in humans to know a safe or effective amount, and it is usually found as one ingredient in a blended product rather than sold alone. If you choose to use a product that contains it, follow the directions on the label and do not exceed them. Avoid stacking it with other stimulants like caffeine or synephrine unless a healthcare professional says it is okay.

About Pravastatin
What Is Pravastatin Used For?
Brand name: Pravachol
Pravastatin Sodium tablets are used alongside a cholesterol-lowering diet to treat high LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), high triglycerides (blood fats), and abnormal cholesterol levels. They are approved for adults and for children ages 8 and older with a hereditary form of high cholesterol called heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH).
In people without known heart disease, pravastatin helps reduce the risk of heart attack and cardiovascular death. In people who already have coronary heart disease (CHD), it is used to reduce the risk of heart attack, coronary death, stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), and procedures to restore blood flow to the heart — and to slow the buildup of plaque in the arteries.

Pravastatin Sodium Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Pravastatin Sodium as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with N-methyltyramine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
