Here's the simple version: olive oil itself can have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect, especially when you use it in place of less healthy fats. Bosentan isn't strictly a blood pressure pill, but it does relax and open blood vessels in your lungs to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, so it can lower blood pressure overall too. Stack the two and the effects may add up a little.

For most people, the everyday amount of olive oil you cook with is unlikely to cause a problem. If you're using concentrated olive oil supplements or notice dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint when you stand up, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything. The evidence here is modest, so don't be alarmed.

What Is Bosentan Used For?

Brand name: Tracleer

Bosentan is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) — high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs. In adults, it helps improve the ability to exercise and slows how quickly the disease gets worse.

In children aged 3 years and older with idiopathic (no known cause) or congenital (present from birth) PAH, bosentan is used to lower resistance in the lung blood vessels, which is expected to improve exercise ability. Tracleer is one brand approved for both adults and pediatric patients with PAH.
