Here's the good news first: Bromfenac (Prolensa, BromSite) is an eye drop you use after cataract surgery, and very little of it gets into your bloodstream. So even though bromfenac is an NSAID that can mildly affect platelets and bleeding, the amount circulating in your body from a few drops is tiny.

The concern on file comes from lab studies suggesting onion compounds like quercetin may slightly slow platelet clumping. That's theoretical and based on test-tube work, not real patients. With an eye drop, any added bleeding risk is very unlikely. The main thing to watch for would be more redness or slow healing at the surgical site. Still, mention any supplements to your eye surgeon or pharmacist, especially around surgery.
