Here's the thing to know about pairing piracetam with bromfenac eye drops (Prolensa, Bromsite). Bromfenac is an NSAID, and even though you're putting it in your eye, NSAIDs can have a mild blood-thinning effect by quieting platelets, the tiny cells that help your blood clot. Piracetam has also been shown in early research to make platelets less sticky.

Stack two things that nudge platelets the same direction and you could, in theory, raise the risk of bleeding or bruising. With an eye drop, this might show up as a bit more redness or slower healing at the surgical site. Honestly though, the amount of bromfenac that reaches your bloodstream from drops is small, so this is mostly theoretical. Still, mention the piracetam to your eye surgeon or pharmacist so they can keep an eye on things.
