Here's the angle that matters with Vicoprofen: it's a combo of hydrocodone (an opioid pain reliever) and ibuprofen, and ibuprofen is an NSAID that already nudges your bleeding risk up a bit by itself. Onion comes into the picture because lab studies suggest its compounds may make platelets (the cells that help blood clot) a little less sticky.

So in theory, pairing concentrated onion with the ibuprofen part could add to a tendency toward easier bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach irritation and bleeding. I want to be honest though: this is theoretical, based mostly on test-tube work, not strong human studies. Eating onion in normal food amounts is very unlikely to be a problem. If you're considering high-dose onion supplements, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
