What Is Trilaciclib Injection Used For?

Brand name: Cosela

Cosela (trilaciclib) is given to adults with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) to decrease chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression — meaning it helps protect the bone marrow from the blood-cell-lowering effects of certain chemotherapy regimens.

Cosela is approved for use before platinum/etoposide-containing chemotherapy regimens or topotecan-containing regimens in ES-SCLC. It is given as an intravenous infusion before chemotherapy on each day that chemotherapy is administered.
