Insulin Aspart falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Phlorizin interacts with.

Phlorizin is a potent, nonselective inhibitor of SGLT1 and SGLT2. It has been shown to reduce blood glucose levels in animal research. Theoretically, phlorizin might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. However, the likelihood of this effect is unclear due to the poor bioavailability and rapid degradation of phlorizin. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: phlorizin can nudge your blood sugar down on its own by making your kidneys dump more sugar into your urine. Insulin aspart (Fiasp) also lowers blood sugar, just by a different route. Stack the two and the effects could add up, which in theory raises your risk of a low (hypoglycemia). With a fast-acting mealtime insulin like this one, a low can come on quickly, bringing shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or even fainting if it drops far enough.

That said, this is only a theoretical concern. Phlorizin is poorly absorbed and breaks down fast when swallowed, so a real-world effect is uncertain. Don't change your insulin on your own. Check your sugars more closely and loop in your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Insulin Aspart (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?

Brand name: Fiasp

Insulin aspart is used to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in people with diabetes mellitus. It is approved for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes in adults, and for diabetes mellitus in pediatric patients.

Insulin Aspart Protamine and Insulin Aspart Mix 70/30 is a pre-mixed product that combines a rapid-acting and an intermediate-acting insulin aspart. It is approved to improve blood sugar control in adult patients with diabetes mellitus. It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis, and because its ratio of rapid-acting to intermediate-acting insulin is fixed, it does not allow for separate mealtime versus background dose adjustments.
