Trihexyphenidyl falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Phosphatidylserine interacts with.
Phosphatidylserine is thought to increase acetylcholine levels, which could theoretically interfere with the activity of anticholinergic agents.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the basic idea. Trihexyphenidyl works by blocking acetylcholine, the brain and body chemical that drives muscle and nerve signals. Phosphatidylserine is thought to do the opposite, nudging acetylcholine levels up a bit. On paper, that tug-of-war could blunt how well your trihexyphenidyl works, meaning your tremor, stiffness, or drug-induced movement symptoms might not be as well controlled.
I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. This concern is largely theoretical and rests on limited, lower-quality research, so it may never cause you a noticeable problem. Still, since trihexyphenidyl is balancing real Parkinson's or movement symptoms, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding phosphatidylserine, and let them know if your symptoms seem to creep back.

What Is Trihexyphenidyl Used For?

Trihexyphenidyl is used as part of treatment for all forms of parkinsonism — including idiopathic (the most common type), postencephalitic (following a brain infection), and arteriosclerotic parkinsonism. It is often added alongside levodopa when levodopa alone isn't fully controlling symptoms.
It is also used to control extrapyramidal reactions (involuntary movement problems) that can be caused by certain psychiatric drugs, including phenothiazines, thioxanthenes, butyrophenones, and dibenzoxazepines.
