Prohormones and Opicapone

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Opicapone and Prohormones in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Prohormones at all — not against Opicapone, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Opicapone. Read the label on DailyMed › Where a percentage is shown, it is the share of 2,261 voluntary FDA FAERS reports for Opicapone that mention that effect — a reporting proportion, not an incidence rate and not evidence the drug caused it. Prohormones’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no Prohormones side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that Prohormones has no side effects.

About Prohormones

What is Prohormones?

  • Muscle building
  • Strength and athletic performance
  • Body recomposition
  • Fat loss
  • Bodybuilding cycles

Prohormones are steroid-like compounds the body can convert into active anabolic hormones such as testosterone. They are marketed for muscle and strength gains, but they carry real risks to the liver, heart, and hormone balance, and many sold as supplements are legally and chemically questionable. We do not recommend them outside of medical supervision, and they should never be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Synthetic or semi-synthetic steroidal compounds (not a plant part) · Capsules, tablets, powders

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Prohormones is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Prohormones record says about it on its own.

Prohormones: dosing

There is no established safe or standardized dose for prohormones, and we cannot recommend one. Products vary widely in their ingredients and strength, and labels are not always accurate.Because these compounds act like hormones and carry real risks, the safest approach is to avoid them unless you are under the care of a qualified medical provider.

About Opicapone

What Is Opicapone Used For?

Brand name: Ongentys

Ongentys (opicapone) is used alongside levodopa/carbidopa to treat Parkinson's disease in adults who experience 'off' episodes — periods when medication wears off and Parkinson's symptoms return before the next dose is due.

It is not used alone. Ongentys works as an add-on to help levodopa stay active longer, reducing the time patients spend in these 'off' states.
