Here's the thing worth knowing if you take ketoprofen and are eyeing resveratrol. Ketoprofen is an NSAID, and like its cousins (ibuprofen, naproxen), it already makes your platelets a little less sticky. That's part of why NSAIDs can cause stomach upset, bruising, or, less often, bleeding. Resveratrol appears to have its own mild blood-thinning, antiplatelet action, so stacking the two could nudge your bleeding risk a bit higher.

Now, I want to be honest about the evidence. This concern comes mostly from lab and animal studies, not solid human trials, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Food amounts of resveratrol (a few grapes or berries) almost certainly won't matter. Concentrated supplements are where I'd pause. Watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or dark stools, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

What Is Ketoprofen Used For?

Brand names: Orudis, Oruvail Gel, Powergel, Oruvail Injection

Ketoprofen capsules (including the brand Orudis) are used to manage the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, to treat pain, and to treat primary dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual periods).

Ketoprofen extended-release capsules are approved for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis only. Because of the way they slowly release the drug, ketoprofen extended-release capsules are not recommended for treating acute (sudden) pain.
