Ocrelizumab falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Rice Bran Arabinoxylan Compound interacts with.

Theoretically, rice bran arabinoxylan compound might interfere with immunosuppressants by stimulating the immune system. In laboratory and human research, rice bran arabinoxylan compound has been shown to stimulate the activity of immune cells.
Some immunosuppressants include azathioprine (Imuran), basiliximab (Simulect), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), daclizumab (Zenapax), muromonab-CD3 (OKT3, Orthoclone OKT3), mycophenolate (CellCept), tacrolimus (FK506, Prograf), sirolimus (Rapamune), prednisone (Deltasone, Orasone), corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), and others.

Here's the simple version. Ocrevus (ocrelizumab) works by quieting part of your immune system, specifically by depleting certain B cells, to calm the nerve damage that drives MS. Rice Bran Arabinoxylan Compound is marketed to do the opposite, to stimulate immune cell activity. So in theory, this supplement could push against what Ocrevus is trying to do and slightly blunt how well it controls your MS.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern. It's theoretical, based on how each one works in the lab, not on real reports of people having problems. Still, MS is serious, so I wouldn't add this on your own. Please run it by your neurologist or pharmacist first before starting it.

What Is Ocrelizumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Ocrevus

Ocrevus (ocrelizumab) is given by intravenous (IV) infusion and is approved for adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) — including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting MS, and active secondary progressive MS — as well as adults with primary progressive MS (PPMS).

Ocrevus is also approved for pediatric patients 10 years of age and older who weigh at least 25 kg (about 55 lbs) and have relapsing-remitting MS.
