Here's the simple version: prednisone works by calming down your immune system, while this rice bran product is sold to do the opposite, to rev it up. So the worry is that they could work against each other. If you're taking prednisone for something like severe allergies, lupus, arthritis flares, or an inflammatory condition, a supplement nudging your immune cells in the other direction might, in theory, blunt some of the relief you're counting on.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's a theoretical concern based on lab and early human findings, not solid proof that it weakens prednisone in real life. Still, since prednisone is often doing important work, I'd run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them rather than guessing.
