Theoretically, rice bran arabinoxylan compound might interfere with immunosuppressants by stimulating the immune system. In laboratory and human research, rice bran arabinoxylan compound has been shown to stimulate the activity of immune cells.
Some immunosuppressants include azathioprine (Imuran), basiliximab (Simulect), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), daclizumab (Zenapax), muromonab-CD3 (OKT3, Orthoclone OKT3), mycophenolate (CellCept), tacrolimus (FK506, Prograf), sirolimus (Rapamune), prednisone (Deltasone, Orasone), corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), and others.

Here's the idea behind this pairing. Sutimlimab (Enjaymo) is a lab-made antibody that calms down part of your immune system, the classical complement pathway, to keep your body from destroying its own red blood cells in cold agglutinin disease. Rice bran arabinoxylan, on the other hand, is marketed to rev up immune cell activity. So in theory they pull in opposite directions, and the supplement could blunt some of the benefit you get from your medicine.

I want to be honest with you though: this is a theoretical concern based on how each one works, not on real cases of people taking them together. We don't have studies showing this actually weakens sutimlimab. Still, since you're treating a serious blood condition, I'd run it by your hematologist or pharmacist before adding this product rather than guessing.

What Is Sutimlimab-jome Injection Used For?

Brand name: Enjaymo

Enjaymo (sutimlimab-jome) injection is indicated for the treatment of hemolysis — the breakdown of red blood cells — in adults with cold agglutinin disease (CAD). CAD is a rare autoimmune condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys red blood cells, especially in cold temperatures.

Enjaymo works to stop this destruction by targeting a key part of the immune system called the classical complement pathway. It is approved for adults only; safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
