We found no known interaction between Rupturewort and Ezetimibe in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Rupturewort and Ezetimibe
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Ezetimibe and Rupturewort in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Ezetimibe
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Ezetimibe is filed under 2 classifications — including oral drugs. Rupturewort has documented interactions with 1 drug class — the most serious being lithium (moderate) — and none of Ezetimibe’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

This page covers Rupturewort only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Ezetimibe page lists 18 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Coffee Charcoal (moderate), European Mandrake (moderate), Flaxseed Oil (moderate) and Glucomannan (moderate).
By severity: 1 major · 8 moderate · 9 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ezetimibe page
“Almost everything that interacts with ezetimibe (Zetia) works in the gut, and one entry calls for genuine care. Activated charcoal can soak up the drug before your body gets it, which for a cholesterol pill means quietly losing the protection you count on.”

About Rupturewort
What is Rupturewort?
- Urinary tract complaints
- Mild fluid retention (as a diuretic)
- Kidney and bladder support
- Wound healing and inflammation (topical, traditional)
- Spasms or cramping (traditional)
Rupturewort is a traditional European herb mainly used as a mild diuretic and for urinary complaints. Solid human research is very limited, so its true benefits and long-term safety are not well established. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using it, and avoid it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Herniaria glabra · Caryophyllaceae · Aerial parts (the above-ground flowering herb) · Tea, dried herb, tincture, capsules
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Rupturewort is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Rupturewort record says about it on its own.
Rupturewort: dosing
There is no well-established or standardized dose for rupturewort. Traditional use involves brewing the dried herb as a tea, but reliable dosing guidance from clinical research does not exist. If you choose to use a product, follow the directions on the label and do not exceed them.

About Ezetimibe
What Is Ezetimibe Used For?
Brand name: Zetia
Ezetimibe is used alongside a cholesterol-lowering diet to reduce LDL ("bad") cholesterol, total cholesterol, and related blood fats. It can be used alone or combined with a statin or fenofibrate depending on the condition being treated.
Zetia (a brand of ezetimibe) is specifically approved to lower LDL cholesterol in adults and children 10 and older with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (an inherited high-cholesterol condition), in adults with mixed hyperlipidemia (combined high cholesterol and triglycerides) when combined with fenofibrate, and in adults and children 10 and older with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (a severe inherited form). Ezetimibe tablets are also used to reduce elevated plant sterols (sitosterol and campesterol) in adults and children 9 and older with homozygous familial sitosterolemia, a rare inherited condition.
