ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Albiglutide
Albiglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Rutin interacts with.
Animal research suggests that rutin has hypoglycemic effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: Albiglutide (Tanzeum) is an injectable medicine that already works to lower your blood sugar. Rutin, in some early lab and animal studies, also seemed to nudge blood sugar downward. So the concern is that stacking the two together could push your sugar a little lower than expected, raising the chance of a low (hypoglycemia).
If that happened, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, irritable, or unusually tired. I want to be honest though, this interaction is theoretical and based mostly on animal research, not solid human data, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. If you decide to add rutin, just keep an eye on your blood sugar readings and check in with your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Albiglutide page
“People injecting albiglutide (Tanzeum) once a week for type 2 diabetes are often the same people eyeing supplements marketed for blood sugar, and that overlap is exactly where this list calls for real vigilance. Every one of the 239 ingredients on file touches glucose control in some way, most by adding to albiglutide's glucose-lowerin…”

Rutin is a plant flavonoid (often taken from buckwheat or citrus) that people use mainly for blood vessel and circulation problems like varicose veins and hemorrhoids. Albiglutide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Albiglutide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Rutin — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
