Here's the simple version: insulin lispro is a fast-acting insulin that lowers your blood sugar. Some early lab and animal studies hint that rutin may have its own mild blood-sugar-lowering effect. If both nudge your sugar down at the same time, the worry is that your levels could dip a little too low (hypoglycemia).

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is mostly theoretical and comes from animal research, not solid human studies, so it's not something to panic about. Still, if you decide to use rutin, just keep an eye out for the usual low-sugar warning signs with lispro, like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or sudden hunger, and check your glucose a bit more often at first. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding it so they can guide your monitoring.

What is Rutin?

Rutin is a plant flavonoid (often taken from buckwheat or citrus) that people use mainly for blood vessel and circulation problems like varicose veins and hemorrhoids. The evidence is limited and mostly preliminary, so it should not replace proven treatments. What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
