Theoretically, taking agaricus mushroom with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
In one clinical study in patients with type 2 diabetes who are stabilized on conventional oral hypoglycemic agents, 3 of 29 patients taking an agaricus mushroom extract 500 mg three times daily for 12 weeks reported hypoglycemia, compared to one of 29 patients in the placebo group.

Here's the gist for anyone using Insulin Lispro (Admelog) alongside Agaricus mushroom. Insulin lispro is a fast-acting mealtime insulin that lowers your blood sugar. Agaricus mushroom may have its own mild blood-sugar-lowering effect, so stacking the two could push your sugar a little lower than expected. In practice, that means a possibly higher chance of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), with signs like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, fast heartbeat, hunger, or confusion.

I want to be honest about how thin the evidence is. This is mostly theoretical, and the one small study showed only a slight bump in low-sugar reports. It's not a reason to panic. If you'd like to try the mushroom, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep monitoring your glucose closely.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
