ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Glucose
Glucose falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Agaricus Mushroom interacts with.
In one clinical study in patients with type 2 diabetes who are stabilized on conventional oral hypoglycemic agents, 3 of 29 patients taking an agaricus mushroom extract 500 mg three times daily for 12 weeks reported hypoglycemia, compared to one of 29 patients in the placebo group.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know: glucose, whether it's an IV solution or one of those fast-acting glucose tablets and gels, is something you take to raise blood sugar, often to treat a low. Agaricus mushroom works in the opposite direction. In a small study, a few people taking concentrated agaricus extract had episodes of low blood sugar, so the mushroom may have a mild sugar-lowering effect of its own.
This is theoretical and based on how the mushroom seems to behave, not strong proof. In real life, it mostly matters if you regularly take a fairly concentrated supplement and use glucose to manage lows. If that's you, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your readings.

By severity: 2 major · 215 moderate · 39 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Glucose page
“Glucose given by IV raises a dangerously low blood sugar, and this list warrants real caution because most of its 256 ingredients pull the other way. Nearly all of them lower blood sugar on their own, working against the treatment and setting up another crash.”

Glucose Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Glucose as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Agaricus Mushroom — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
