About Talazoparib

What Is Talazoparib Used For?

Brand name: Talzenna

Talzenna (talazoparib) is used as a single agent to treat adults with HER2-negative locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer who carry a germline BRCA mutation (an inherited change in a DNA-repair gene). Patients must be selected for this use based on an FDA-approved test.

Talzenna is also used in combination with another medicine called enzalutamide to treat adults with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC — prostate cancer that has spread and no longer responds to standard hormone therapy) whose tumors have mutations in homologous recombination repair (HRR) genes involved in DNA repair.
