Here's something many folks don't realize about Zeposia (ozanimod): even though it's an MS and ulcerative colitis drug, one of its breakdown products acts like a mild MAO inhibitor. That matters here because Scotch Broom flower naturally contains tyramine. When tyramine builds up alongside MAO-blocking activity, it can trigger a sudden, dangerous spike in blood pressure (what we call a hypertensive crisis), with warning signs like a pounding headache, chest pain, sweating, or a racing heart.

To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on how these substances work, not a flood of reported cases. But because the potential outcome is serious, I'd steer clear of Scotch Broom while you're on Zeposia. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it or any tyramine-rich supplement.
