Sea Buckthorn + Diclofenac Potassium
Diclofenac Potassium brand names: Voltaren Rapide, Cataflam, Cataflam IR, Voltarol Rapid, Cambia.
Sea Buckthorn has a moderate interaction with Diclofenac Potassium. Theoretically, sea buckthorn may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Diclofenac Potassium
Diclofenac Potassium falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Sea Buckthorn interacts with.
Clinical research suggests that sea buckthorn fruit extracts can inhibit platelet aggregation and adhesion to collagen and fibrinogen.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. Diclofenac is an NSAID, and like other drugs in that family it already nudges up your bleeding risk by making platelets (the cells that help your blood clot) a little less sticky. It can also be hard on the stomach lining. Sea buckthorn appears to do something similar, with research suggesting its fruit extracts can keep platelets from clumping together.
Stack the two, and that bleeding effect could add up, think easier bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach upset that lingers. The evidence here is fairly modest and mostly theoretical, and food amounts of the berry are unlikely to be a problem. Concentrated supplements are where I'd pause. Please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
