Here's the thing about combining sea buckthorn with urokinase: urokinase is a powerful clot-busting drug given in the hospital to dissolve dangerous blood clots, like those in the lungs or in a blocked IV line. Because it actively breaks down clots, bleeding is already its main risk.

Sea buckthorn, in concentrated supplement amounts, may make platelets a little less sticky. Stacked on top of urokinase, that could add to bleeding risk, things like easy bruising, bleeding gums, or harder-to-stop bleeding. Keep in mind this concern is mostly theoretical and based on limited research, and small culinary amounts of the berry are unlikely to matter. Still, since urokinase is given for serious situations, always tell your care team about any supplements you take.
