Here's the simple version: stinging nettle may nudge your blood sugar down a little on its own, and Trulicity (dulaglutide) is already working hard to lower it. Put them together and the effects can stack up, so your sugar could drop lower than expected. That's not from nettle changing how dulaglutide is broken down (this drug is an injected protein, not something activated or cleared by liver enzymes), it's just two things pushing in the same direction.

Watch for signs of low blood sugar like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy, especially if you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea. The evidence here is fairly weak, so don't panic, but do mention the nettle to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your numbers.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
