ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Dasiglucagon Hydrochloride
Dasiglucagon Hydrochloride falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Sunflower Oil interacts with.
A diet using sunflower oil as a fat source can cause increased fasting blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Dose adjustments to diabetes medications might be necessary.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's something worth knowing about this pairing. Dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) is an emergency rescue shot you give when blood sugar drops dangerously low. It works fast by telling the liver to dump stored sugar back into the blood, so it's not something you take every day like a typical diabetes pill or insulin.
The concern on file is fairly indirect and based on limited evidence. Some studies suggest that regularly using a lot of sunflower oil as your main dietary fat might nudge fasting blood sugar upward in type 2 diabetes, which could make your overall diabetes control trickier. That doesn't really change how a single rescue dose of dasiglucagon works in the moment. Normal cooking amounts are unlikely to matter much. If you're using large amounts, mention it to your doctor or pharmacist so your routine diabetes plan stays on track.

“Dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) is an emergency injection that rapidly raises blood sugar during a severe diabetic low, so a supplement list this large deserves genuine care. All 239 interacting ingredients act through blood glucose, and most of them lower it, deepening the very crashes this drug exists to reverse.”
