Here's the gist with Kazano (that's alogliptin plus metformin, two medicines that work together to lower your blood sugar). There's some lower-quality research suggesting that when sunflower oil is used as the main fat in the diet, fasting blood sugar can creep up a bit in people with type 2 diabetes. In plain terms, your diabetes medicine might not control things quite as tightly, so you could see higher morning glucose readings.

I want to keep this in perspective. This is a theoretical and weak signal, and normal cooking amounts of sunflower oil are unlikely to throw your numbers off. If you're keeping an eye on your home glucose readings and they start trending up, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
