Alogliptin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group African Wild Potato interacts with.

Evidence from animal research suggests that African wild potato lowers blood glucose levels. So far, this effect has not been shown in humans. Theoretically, concomitant use of African wild potato and antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Dose adjustments might be necessary. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: Kazano combines two diabetes medicines (alogliptin and metformin) that work to bring your blood sugar down. African Wild Potato isn't broken down by the same pathways, so this isn't about one slowing the other in your liver. Instead, in animal studies the plant itself appeared to lower blood sugar on its own. If that holds true in people, stacking it on top of your Kazano could push your sugar too low.

I want to be honest about the evidence, though: this has only been seen in lab and animal research, not in humans, so it's mostly theoretical. Still, if you ever do try it, watch for signs of low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion) and check your readings. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before adding it.
