Belladonna Extract, Phenobarbital falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Syrian Rue interacts with.

Theoretically, Syrian rue might decrease the effects of anticholinergic drugs.
Syrian rue contains harmine. Animal research suggests that intravenous administration of harmine potentiates the effects of acetylcholine or increases acetylcholine levels.

Here's the idea behind this pairing. The belladonna part of Belap works by blocking acetylcholine, a nerve-signaling chemical, which is what calms cramping in the gut and dries up secretions. Syrian Rue may push acetylcholine levels the other way. So in theory, it could partly cancel out belladonna's effect, meaning you might notice less relief from stomach or bowel cramping.

I want to be honest that this is a theoretical concern based only on animal lab work, not real human cases, so it may not amount to much in practice. The bigger worry is Syrian Rue itself, since it acts as an MAO inhibitor and can be genuinely toxic. Before mixing it with anything, especially a phenobarbital product, please check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
