Tai Chi + Cedazuridine, Decitabine

Cedazuridine, Decitabine brand name: Inqovi.

No Known Interaction
The bottom line No known interaction

We found no known interaction between Tai Chi and Cedazuridine, Decitabine in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.

Tai Chi and Cedazuridine, Decitabine

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Cedazuridine, Decitabine and Tai Chi in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — research on Tai Chi alongside specific medications may be limited.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Tai Chi at all — not against Cedazuridine, Decitabine, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

Tai Chi is a practice rather than something you take. Ask your care team whether the type and intensity you plan to practice are appropriate for your health and treatment. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What to actually watch for

No Interaction Found — But Data Suggests Tai Chi and Cedazuridine, Decitabine May Share Several of the Same Side Effects

This is not an interaction. Neither one changes how your body handles the other, and nothing here says they react together. What our sources do show is that each has separately been linked to the effects below — so practicing Tai Chi while taking the medicine can make those effects more likely to turn up, and harder to pin on one or the other if they do.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Cedazuridine, Decitabine page

“Inqovi pairs decitabine, an oral chemotherapy for certain blood cancers, with cedazuridine, whose whole job is helping the decitabine absorb properly. That is exactly why this list warrants genuine care, because every flagged supplement works the same way, by interfering with absorption in the gut.”

About Tai Chi

What is Tai Chi?

  • Balance and fall prevention
  • Stress and relaxation
  • Joint pain and arthritis
  • Heart and lung health
  • Better sleep
  • General fitness and flexibility

Tai Chi is a gentle, low-impact mind-body exercise that combines slow flowing movements, breathing, and focused attention. Research suggests it can improve balance, reduce falls, ease some chronic pain, and lower stress, and it is safe for most people. It is a practice, not a pill, so there are no doses or supplement risks to worry about.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Tai Chi is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Tai Chi record says about it on its own.

Tai Chi: dosing

There is no "dose" for Tai Chi the way there is for a supplement. Many beginner programs involve sessions of about 30 to 60 minutes, done a few times a week, and benefits tend to grow with regular practice over weeks to months. The best approach is to follow your class or instructor's guidance and build up gradually at a pace that feels comfortable.
