Why this applies to Nitrendipine

Nitrendipine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Vitamin E interacts with.

Theoretically, vitamin E might induce metabolism of CYP3A4, possibly reducing the levels CYP3A4 substrates.
Vitamin E appears to bind with the nuclear receptor, pregnane X receptor (PXR), which results in increased expression of CYP3A4. Although the clinical significance of this is not known, use caution when considering concomitant use of vitamin E and other drugs affected by these enzymes.

Nitrendipine is a calcium channel blocker that lowers blood pressure, and your body clears it using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The thinking here is that high-dose vitamin E might nudge that enzyme to work a little faster. If that happens, your body could break down nitrendipine more quickly, which might leave less of it in your bloodstream and make it slightly less effective at controlling your blood pressure.

I want to be honest with you though: this is theoretical, based on how things work in the lab, not on real patient problems. Everyday food amounts of vitamin E shouldn't matter. If you take high-dose supplements, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor and keep an eye on your blood pressure readings.
