Cryptenamine, Methyclothiazide falls under DIURETIC DRUGS — the group Wallflower interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of potassium-depleting diuretics and wallflower can increase the risk of cardiac glycoside toxicity due to potassium depletion. Some diuretics that can deplete potassium include chlorothiazide (Diuril), chlorthalidone (Thalitone), furosemide (Lasix), hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, Hydrodiuril, Microzide), and others.

Here's the thing to know about Diutensen: the methyclothiazide part is a thiazide-type water pill that pushes your body to flush out fluid, but it can also flush out potassium along with it. That matters here because wallflower contains natural cardiac glycoside compounds (similar in type to digoxin), and these heart-active substances become more dangerous when your potassium runs low.

So when you pair the two, the worry isn't that wallflower changes how your medicine is broken down. It's that low potassium from the diuretic can make wallflower's heart effects stronger, raising the risk of an irregular or unusually slow heartbeat, nausea, or feeling faint. This is theoretical, based on how these things work rather than firm studies, but wallflower really shouldn't be taken internally anyway. Please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
