Here's the concern when wallflower and prednisone are taken together. Wallflower naturally contains cardiac glycosides, the same type of heart-active compound found in digoxin. Prednisone, on the other hand, can lower your body's potassium levels over time. When potassium drops, the heart becomes more sensitive to those glycoside compounds, which can raise the risk of toxic effects on the heart rhythm.

Realistically, watch for things like an irregular or pounding heartbeat, unusual tiredness, muscle weakness, or nausea. I'll be honest though, this is a theoretical worry based on how these substances behave, not solid human studies. The bigger issue is that wallflower itself can be unsafe to take internally. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't change your prednisone on your own.
