ORAL DRUGS
Why this applies to Belladona Extract, Phenobarbital
Belladona Extract, Phenobarbital falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Xanthan Gum interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. Xanthan gum is just a soluble fiber that turns into a thick gel when it hits water. That gel can slow how fast your stomach empties, so it may slightly change how your Chardonna-2 (belladonna extract and phenobarbital) is absorbed. Notice the word may. This concern is theoretical, based on how fiber behaves, not on real reports of problems, and the interaction is rated minor.
If absorption shifts a bit, you could in theory feel the phenobarbital part more (extra drowsiness) or less, or notice belladonna effects like dry mouth or blurred vision. To keep things steady, an easy fix is to take your medicine first and wait 30 to 60 minutes before any concentrated xanthan gum. Small food amounts are unlikely to matter. Check with your pharmacist if you're unsure.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Belladona Extract, Phenobarbital page
“Chardonna-2 pairs belladonna with phenobarbital, a sedating barbiturate, so anyone taking it for stomach or bowel spasms is already on something that slows the brain down. That is why 78 of the 141 supplement interactions on file involve added sedation, and why this list warrants real vigilance rather than a quick skim.”
