What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains 2 active ingredients. The first is 1-Androstene-3b-ol,17-one Decanoate (a prohormone form of 1-androsterone), which your body converts into testosterone and related male hormones.
The second is 5a-Hydroxy Laxogenin Acetate. There are no inactive fillers or binders in this formulation.
Does it work?
Insufficient evidence
The data we hold doesn't establish that 1-androsterone reliably improves athletic performance — the evidence rating is insufficient. We have no effectiveness information on file for the second ingredient.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
1-Androsterone carries real health risks with limited safety testing. In short-term studies, it's been linked to changes in cholesterol (LDL up, HDL down), rises in a kidney marker called creatinine, and drops in kidney function that suggested early kidney impairment — though creatinine levels stayed within the normal range.
The most common reported side effects are abnormal cholesterol (dyslipidemia), elevated liver enzymes (transaminitis), and reduced kidney function. Because it's a hormone-altering compound, avoid it during pregnancy and while breastfeeding — the hormonal risks to a baby aren't known.

1-AD Anabolic Agent by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals' 1-AD Anabolic Agent contains a hormone-altering prohormone, and it does interact with at least one drug category.
The main concern is combining it with testosterone itself — because 1-androsterone is converted into testosterone and related hormones in your body, adding prescription testosterone (testosterone replacement therapy) could compound the risks of mood changes and problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver. That's a Moderate severity interaction.

We could not check the other active ingredient (5a-Hydroxy Laxogenin Acetate) — we hold no interaction data for it.
Although the ingredient we did check affects a small number of individual medications, the real caution here is the hormonal nature of the product itself. Check your exact medications with the search tool below before you start.
